Menubuuttons and rss reader for Bt-server

I downloaded the plugin on my server and downloaded the source code again after I created all my buttons in the control panel and ran the simulator none of my buttons were showing and same with my rss lists. and noticed that the files weren't in the source code. I have a couple questions here... Do I have to manually drag the rssreader and menu button files into the source code? And if so do I have to 'import' the header on all the files that utilize the menu buttons? For future projects, will it always have to drag in the menu button files on every app I build using BT server? It seems like a really big hassle if that was the case Anyone know how I can get my menu buttons to show up and my rss lists?

Thanks for responding That's a good blog post. I already know how to use buttons and menus successfully in 1.5. I figured I would download the BT server to host my own apps but since the BT server dd requires plug ins. My main concern and question is after I install the menu button plugin on my server, how come the file doesn't appear in my source code and simulator...

Hi Pikpocket, Let us now if Fred's link was any help. For rss: what buttons do you mean for the rss list??? If an rss-feed has images and the images are in a seperated tag (like in the example that comes with the rss plugin. there it's called enclosure) you got to use that tag for the images (see advanced details in rss screen under XML Element Data-Points). Try the default rss link and see if the images come up Best Regards, Danny EDIT: are you talking Android or iPhone?

Sometimes you need to close eclipse, GNW says to do a Clean, to get the app to refresh. An uninstall (turning off the computer) can work.

Check the instructions file in your app download. If this for iOS, you need to drag all the plugins into Xcode.

Oh geez that sounds like a major hassle for every time I start a new project. Do I have to import the header into every file. And it is ios. I have not yet begun developing for android. Waiting for rss issues to be worked out

Since it's iOS, all you need to do is download the source from BT, open it in xcode, drag the plugins into xcode, drag any images that are embedded in the app into xcode. Compile and run. It's actually pretty simple.
