I have created it in PS with the required size and saved it at the highest jpeg quality. I am using a logo rather than a actual photo so sharpness is quite important. It's an improved version. Don't know if images are handled differently but I have no problems with quality. For photoshop I always do this: -create new image -set width and heigth -set resolution to 300 dpi -Create you image -save for web -doesn't really matter (for the quality) if you use png or jpg -save it and use it. I will give 1.5 a try if I am a early adopter, I applied but not sure If I have been approved.
