Cool, haven't heard about an install error recently but love it when we hear of one because it helps us improve this thing. Line 3 on config.php is nothing more than the beginning of a code-comment. In fact, the first 25 lines of this file do nothing but explain (in code comments) what the file does. Are you sure this file is OK and has not been modified? The installation instructions ask you to enter you database credentials in this file, could it be that you accidentally made a typo or inserted a character somewhere? Not sure how to advise?

Thank you David! I'm going to try again tonight and give it another shot. I'll update on the progress (or regress) :)

(tonight became tomorrow) With that first install, the 2nd time I rec'd that error, I removed the code comments.. and still got the error. In moving forward, I went through, re-downloaded it all, reinstalled. This time I managed to pull this one out of the hat(lol): {result:invalid, message:serverError, fromDavid:Have a look at line 68 config.php in the root of your install, the software is having trouble with your database settings} I believe 3rd time might be a charm, so I'll put this on hold and try again once more in a day or two. I know it will happen, I just have to adjust in some other way. If it's any help, since my paid server had a problem with writing the files (back in Nov), I switched the BT Server over to a freebie hosting company: 000webhost.com. No pblms w/writing over the files - but I do seem to find those error codes pretty well.
