Updating a device without connecting to the mac

I notice that my apps on my ipad and iphone are updating, if I do a new build and run on a simulator and then I go on my iphone or Ipad, a do you want update button appears and my apps are updated and I never connected them to the mac, how does that work ? tks Serge

I agree with MacApple...getting a handle on online vs. offline apps is very important! Easy to mess things up if you're not sure how things work! Mark

Mark, you should tell the truth. The internet is a series of giant tubes (presumably invisible and very flexible) that connect one computer to another. It's true, Senator Stevens from Alaska explained it several years ago.

I wonder if Gore thought about offline vs. online apps when he invented the Internet?! Funny, @Fred! Mark
