BT-server save error?

I have recently installed the BT-server under my domain...no install issues at all, however when attempting to enter API Key, Server Nickname, or even Application Directories, the error Error Saving appears for all entries. I thought maybe I made a mistake in entering the registration info, but then noticed that all entries produce the same error. So, I'm pretty well stuck in trying to figure it out...hosting is shared on 1and1.com...is it folder permissions? Thanks in advance for your help.
