@Softwarelint - I can't help you myself, but I know there are a few people on here who will do that for you, just wait for them to find this post.

Perhaps, it's time to consider an Apple users co-op. Would that be permitted under Apple's rules? If so, how much would you be willing to pay? Any thoughts?

Co-Op is a nice idea, but probably wouldn't fly with Apple. They cracked down in July and are requiring developer accounts now for client apps (although I did manage to get one client app posted to my account, while two others were rejected). I think some of the other publishers that used to have a co-op model have all been forced to move away from that. I understand to some degree Apple's stance - there was abuse by some developers - but overall, they've just added more obstacles for legitimate developers.

One more thing. If you make a decent app, you'll easily recover the costs of the developer fee. I know it can be a tough amount of money to pay upfront, but well worth it in the long run.

Judging by @Jackhos1's post, it looks like one to be avoided... ''if it ws legal i could publish it for you, but it's not so good luck publishing them your self.'' Softwarelint is asking people to submit to the Android marketplace for him now. Hmmmm... http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=1207517FF657A0F766478D4&status=&searchInput=search...&sortColumn=FT.lastPostUTC&sortUpDown=DESC¤tPage=1&doViews=1

I understand $25 maynot seem to be much money to publish on the Android Market, but it may be to some. But there's other market's (Amazon may temporarily be waving their fee.) and self publishing. In addition if someone publishes your app it can created lots of complications. You should explore other avenues to publish besides itunes & Android Market.

@Fred - I fully appreciate that it's a lot of money to some people, but Softwarelint rings alarm bells with me. I may be way off the mark, in which case I apologise unreservedly, but still...

I understand & probably agree but by pointing out the lack of urgent need & complexities of the desired request, with feasible alternatives (Some believe Amazon to be a better market) I avoid having to make conclusions. Besides, I think most aspiring developers due to lack of info too quickly presume the need for Android Market. iOS is another situation. But if you develope an app via buzztouch (it's free, Yeah!) and get any traction on one of the other markets, than the fees shouldn't be a problem.

Why i say i think it is against apples rules is because i was offering to publish apps for free but then i did some more research and found out that apple dosent approve of it and also if someone where to publish your apps for you, you would have thier brand name. So i would just invest 100$ and publish it yourself.

That's a good point Fred. A good example is Getjar. A lot of Tablet makers haven't got agreements with Google so Getjar is one of the alternative marketplace that these tablet manufacturers use. The current fastest selling Tablet at Maplins (A big UK electrical on-line/off-line superstore) is a Yarvik (*Yalvik??) Tab450 which comes pre-installed with the Getjar store. @Jackhos1 - Ah, I assumed from the tone of your post that it was a dodgy app. We all know what assume makes... In that case I apologise to Softwarelint. Sorry!
