Want to create a form where app users can sign up to receive news

I.e. submit their email address and name. Does anyone know the best way to do this? Could this work with custom html from a wufoo form or does anyone know a better way of doing this? Thanks a million, K.

There are a number of good products out there. I've been moving all my clients to MailChimp.com. It's free to use up to the first 2,000 subscribers. One of their nice features is the ability to automate newsletters based on rss feeds. Aweber is also a solid system I use. I've integrated the sign up forms easily into apps using a custom html screen.

The best way for this is to use a form, as you have first stated, and MailChimp for putting up mailing lists. Check out 123ContactForm, it's a very effective tool for creating forms that integrate with MailChimp. Also, forms that you create here can be published on any website. Next, you can have users submit their contact info to the form and you include their emails for the newsfeed.
