Video Link (Optional) For Android Market

Has anyone made a App video highlighting the app's features for the Android Market (or any market). If so how? Video Link (Optional): Specs: Enter the URL to a YouTube video showcasing your app. Tip: Short videos (30 seconds -2 minutes) highlighting the top features of your app work best.

I've been meaning to do this for a while, I had some ideas. One was to do a screen capture of the app running in the emulator. The best free screen capture tool I've found so far is hidden away as an extra on the 'atubecatcher' free software. I've done huge amounts of promoting via youtube in the past, but nothing with apps, so I've really got to get into gear and do it, as YT can drive massive traffic.

Review of app town. http://www.apptown.com Ok site, terribly un developed. Lots of promise, maybe someday. Did find an interesting app under tools. Screeshot.jar Supposedly it'll video record your app on device or emulator. If this app works, I'd give them a five***** rating for this app alone. Unfortunately I didn't find much else.

You need a free screen capture app like raveyd said above. All I did was record myself working the emulator and cut it over Dennis' narration. You can do the same thing if you get a usb mic. Get organized in your mind about what you want to say then just show people how the app works. It may take a bunch of takes to get it right or you could edit the piece together possibly to smooth things out. First thing though find the screen capturing software. From there I'm sure you can figure out how to make the video. Find some videos you like that review products then just, kind of...emulate what they are doing to the best of your ability. Over time you WILL get better at it. Any other questions feel free to ask. b
