RSS issues with RSSinclude, PDF links, and Android BTv1.4

I have tried RSS in v1.4 with Android. Placing our RSS feed, http://www.sbcera.org/RSS.xml, in as the link never worked no matter how I formatted the feed. I gave up. I have now tried RSSinclude and am able to see the RSS feed in both Eclipse AVD and on my EVO. It is a Javascript from RSSinclude placed in BTv1.4 as a custome HTML. The only links that don't work are ones going directly to a pdf. They work fine in the RSSinclude preview window, but once they go through BT they no longer work. Any ideas?

Hi Mictam, I checked out the RSS link you posted and I can say that the reason you are having issues with that screen is because our RSS screen expects the xml to be formatted along these lines: http://www.w3schools.com/rss/default.asp Viewing the source code of your feed returns a different format. You may want to try using yahoo pipes to alter your feed, or if you're happy with what you got to work then, awesome. http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/ Also, i've heard that some Android devices don't natively display .pdf files and that some sort of app/plugin may be necessary for download. The same goes for the Android simulator. You might be having issues displaying .pdf files because of that?

Thank youfor the prompt reply. I'd like to say that your software is very user friendly. I worked with that App Builder MIT has taken over and yikes what a headache. I think the encoding directions in the v1.4 app builder are incorrect. It says <?xml version=1.0 encoding=UTF-8?> I was also able to load other RSS feeds that were configured exactly like mine. I did ftp into our server and saw a stray file named RSS without the .xml, so there were two files RSS.xml and RSS. Perhaps that has caused the problem with the RSS specific menu. I can actually display pdfs on the EVO, so I'm not sure what is happening there. It seems like BT won't allow .pf to open, since it opens everywhere except after having gone through the application.

I am adding this fix that I discovered. My RSS feed was not showing up no matter what I did. I went through the entire feed and I had added <i></i> in the <description> field. Broke everything. Works well now except for PDF's as links do not open.
