Hi there and welcome, I don't think there is an easy way to compile it either in Eclipse or Xcode. You must follow the correct steps in order to get the expected results. It's easy, but tricky. The trick is the terminology, get it correct, and the setup is easy. Problem is most users make simple errors than can be avoided by being attentive about details. If you don't know what a word means, look it up. Glossing over is easy, but you'll pay bit time later. Here's a leg up: http://wp.me/p1ZRa7-1V

Depends on what your definition of 'easy' is. I think xcode is easy, but eclipse is a pain.

start with 1 platform make your goal to build the hello world read the help/notes slowly make your own notes and mark down steps that are successful trial and error - even the best programmmers use it. i'd say it takes a week to get eclipse or xcode running and have an app built. be patient. lots of good help here too.

I can't do it. I'm completely inept. I'm a right brained artist and musician who pays 0 attention to detail. I know my limitations. This is one of them. I guess my next question is, who can do this for me and what will it cost?

The best offer to date has been free to compile your app (android) to $5 You'll receive plenty of offers, I recommend you have someone compile your app, then as you learn the terminolgy you'll be able to install Eclipse with the greatest of ease. Follow my Link referenced above and you can have your app on your phone today.

'I can't do it. I'm completely inept.' LOL! You've only been signed up for 4 days. Give yourself the chance to learn this and odds are you will. There are a bunch of user guides and even videos in the Help section of this website. If you get stuck there is always this forum. You can get through this, you just have to give yourself a chance. I would recommend starting by watching some of the videos: http://www.buzztouch.com/videos/ and ten going through the user guides: http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/ Also don't forget to read the readme or instructions files in your project download folder when you download your source code from buzztouch.
