Map With Multiple Locations

Hello everyone. I've recently created a location map with about 300 different places in my local town. My goal is to make it an option in the tabbed layout and people can explore the town. When i click on the location map the places load up but take a few minutes because they are essentialy popping p one by one. I was wondering if there was a way to have it load once in the application but not have it each time you start the application up.I tried taking the URL feed and cloud off but it still works the same way. Thanks for the help.

Hi @Mconn17, I think that's pretty much expected behavior for a list of locations that big. Any program would have to go through the list of locations sequentially and draw them on the screen...there's really not a way (that I'm aware of) to have all the locations pop into the screen at once. Perhaps you could provide a list menu prior to the map that divides the town up by quadrants or types of locations, which would decrease the number of associated pins. That would speed things up. Taking it a little further, maybe you could subset the points of interest based on the user's location, before you start drawing the list. And/or subset the the locations based on type - restaurant, park, hospital, gyms, ATMs, etc.

@foxilab - You need to read about using JSON item lists
