They explicitly reject apps that are better suited as web sites, and which do not take advantage of native iOS features. You could easily make a Web App that is basically your website, but not on BT, and you wouldn't have to send it through iTunes. There are lots of tutorials online on how to do that. Well, within Buzztouch, you have the ability to create screens based on a Custom URL, which points to an external web page. That would be a good place to start tinkering with, I think, since any changes you made on the actual web site would automatically show up in the app. The only caveat would be whether the content is formatted for mobile or not...but that can be handled via CSS.
