BT1.5 Google Maps Direction issue

Trying to keep this current. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this or has recently been successful using it in BT1.5. My BT Maps screen will not show the users location from the menu or show on the screen. Then when you go to tap directions it will show your location on the official Google Maps app but only gives you directions basically to where you already are and not the desitination. So I am assuming it's not intializing GPS properly? and handing off the task properly to Google Maps Navigation. I know specifically I have the GPS turned on in the Core Properties. Is there anything else I am missing in setup? This issue happened in three separate 1.5 projects I had tested in Eclipse today. It says in logcat BT_screen_map:showDirections cannot determine location. And how can I look to correct this? I went back through the process, double checked all the settings, debug and release keys, keystores and standard map selections but get the same results with a fresh download and compile. I think I'll have to remove this feature until a fix can be found. Also, it will only show the red pins. Other colors do no show up.

Have you tested this on a real device? My understanding is that ADT in Eclipse doesn't support GPS, and the iPhone simulator always uses Apple HQ as your current location. Anything related to GPS...it would be absolutely necessary to test on an actual device. Mark

OK, good progress. Because you found the 'cannot determine location' console output then we know for sure the GPS is either a) not turning on or b) not reporting for some reason. The hard part will be figuring out why? So many of these work that I can't think of what may be wrong in the code. But, because you've had the same issue with multiple devices it gets even weirder. Can you do some LogCat'ing of your own (output to the log) in the methods that track the location? You'll see all of this code (it's all in the same place) in the base activity (the activity that all others are based on). Use the BT_debugger.showIt('this is the message') method anywhere in that code to see where it's turning on, off, erroring, etc. Prinint to the log in various places could help you determine where it's failing?

Hi, testing on Iphone 4S I have a spurious location of London which is about 200 miles from where I am, so it doesn't seem to be locating user either on my device.
