Project Name problems. Help!

I must have used some crazy project name for my BT1.4 app (com.v1_4.B19FE72FC6BD2411.com) And it seems it's always gotta be this name now. But my BT 1.5 project won't let me enter this com.v1_4.B19FE72FC6BD2411.com name into the project files. Is there a way to change this name easily? I don't want to have to attempt to do this manually every time I release a new apk for this app. Please help.

When you say project name, I assume you're referring to the project in Eclipse. It can be anything you wish. https://myskylla.wordpress.com/2011/12/17/how-to-create-your-project-in-eclipse/

I am refering to the package name that the google market uses to identify the package. Sorry. Poor wording on my part. It must match the same as what is already uploaded. Unfortunately the BT console won't allow me to match the name.

It appears from a previous post once you post something on the Android Market it's not possible to change the name. It also appears that matching the name between V1.4 V1.5 & V2.0 is not possible.

I don't mind keeping it the com.v1_4.B19FE72FC6BD2411.com but the BT panel won't allow me to change it to that. Rule is numbers and letters only in the package which must be a change from BT1.4. Hopefully there is a work around. But this does make it hard to send up new apk files.

I bit the bullet and unpublished my BT 1.4 app and had to recreate everything for 1.5 since I couldn't change the package name with ease. I don't see any way around that for those that have released 1.4 apps but want to move up to 1.5.

Right. Unfortunately a dev most likely won't be able to match their BT1.4 package name to a newer BT1.5 package name. :(

Thanks for the link. I basically did that last night but eclipse doesn't like me subbing in the v1_4.B19FE72FC6BD2411.com package name. likely due to the _ and the . in the name. Package names are configurable in BT1.5 console so I changed it and resubmitted to the Android Market. Unfortunately it's a pain for our users to upgrade to the new app version. But it could be worse.
