Question about XML file

Hello everyone. I received an .XML link for an RSS Feed for a Local Surf Report. I then placed this link into the RSS feed with no avail. I was wondering if this was the correct step since Im new to .XML. Thanks.

Hi, What does the link look like? I've done the same thing, and it works for me. Is this with BT v1.4 or v1.5? Mark

Seems like there may be an issue with this link. I get a blank screen when I load it into my test app, and see this in a browser: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. Might be worth it to play around with another URL, or another source for surf data, and see what happens? Mark

The file was actually just an xml file that can be coded.

Well, it seems that it's not in the format that BT is expecting. I've used other XML links for an RSS feed, and it works just fine! Mark

xml is the raw data, not strictly speaking an 'rss' feed, it needs a style sheet to process the information and output as rss.

This site does not appear to have an RSS feed. The link the engineer gave to you is for a file consisting of xml formatted data, but it is not an RSS feed. They do have an iPhone app: http://www.swellinfo.com/iphone/
