Global Themes - are they really global ?

Aren't these really project themes? Global themes seem like something you can use across app projects.

I guess the question is, Can one copy the theme from one app to another?

exactly. I suggest they call them project themes or app themes.

Hi guys, Yeah, the Global Theme is for all of the screens of whatever app you are working on, not for all of your apps. It's also not exportable to other apps at the present time but would be included when/if we get around to making a tool to copy apps. You can somewhat get around this at the present time by opening up the config.txt of an app with a theme you like, and copying the information for the Theme settings. It starts with: 'BT_themes'. Then paste it into the config of a new app in xcode or eclipse. I think that should work. *Also keep in mind that going this route it would be best to turn off auto updating/refreshing for your app, as once a change to the control panel is made your app will load with the default (not the copied and pasted) version of your theme in the config file. So you would have to update your app via app store/ market updates, copying and pasting in the desired Theme settings each time you recompile the app update. Makes sense the confusion with the naming. I'll make a note of it see if we can't change it when we do the website update.

That's pretty much all I am suggesting right now, Parker. (renaming the screen to be as clear as possible) I love the idea of a copy function, but I understand that it's an amount of work that might not be justified right now. I would guess that it's best justified by putting it in the BT server 2.0 version more than anywhere else.

I've got no problem, just figured something was in the works, which you just confirmed could possibly be there one day in the not so distant future. :-)
