.png for icon

Hi I am developing for android and would like to use a png file for my icon. As you know Buxxtouch will only allow you to use a jpg file. Does anyone know of a way around this? Its no biggy but I think a png would look much better. Thanks

Hi Boxseven, I use .png files for icon and splash screen without any problems (talking bt-server 2.0 version). Don't know 1.5 is different. Best Regards, Danny

Version 1.5 will only allow you to upload a jpg file. If you try to upload a png it says error please upload jpg not png.

Hi Boxseven, Then there is no way to accomplish this with 1.5 You could try to run bt-server 2.0 on your own server (if you have one) if you really need the .png. Best Regards, Danny

I wondered if there may be somewhere in the source code to access it, but no worries, thanks for your help.

The .jpg is only used in your control panel. When you download the project it will include a .png version of the .jpg you uploaded. Additionally, you can easily change this icon in the project after downloading it. Just replace it in Xcode or Eclipse ;-)
