New Android 1.5 Maps problem

I have Google maps up with 10 locations on the map shown. However when I go to get directions to the location from my current location it does not take me there but thinks my destination is the same as my current location. Anyone else ever run into this and have a fix? I couldn't get this to run in the eclipse emulator at all. This is only Android 4.0. This does the same thing on my wife's phone which is 2.3.

All I did after downloading the source code was add my api keys to the strings.xml file in eclipse for 1.5. Is there else I missed?

If you're running this in the simulator I don't think this would work. Have you tried on your physical device?

Something for sure is strange here. It's a matter of figuring out what the apps is saving for the devices location. When you use directions it does 'device location to map location'. This isn't happening I guess. When the app runs the LogCat (get good at using the LogCat console for debugging, super helpful) wills how you tons of info about the device, it's location, etc. Gonna have to figure out if the GPS is turning in, if it's able to save this data, etc. @GoNorthwest wrote a cool PDF (it's on the How To's page) about getting the LogCat console to help you, I would start there?

I'll take a look at that today. I am going to test an app I wrote in 1.5 for iOS to see if it duplicates the error. The Google API keys only control the loading of the map images correct? It doesn't control the actual destination and route mapping? I am assuming I don't have to adjust any map coding in 1.5 like we did in 1.4.

The app will not show the users location from the menu or show on the screen. So I am assuming it's not handing off the task properly to Google Maps Navigation. I know specifically I have the GPS turned on in the Core Properties. Is there anything else I am missing in setup? This issue happened in three separate 1.5 projects I had tested in Eclipse this morning. I'm trying to figure out how to use logcat to get the exact message.

It says BT_screen_map:showDirections cannot determine location. Is the GPS not being turned on in the app even though it is selected as being on in the Core Properties? And how can I look in the code to see if it is being turned on at startup?

Also, it will only show the red pins. Other colors do no show up.

I went back through the process, double checked all the debug and release keys, keystores and standard map selections but get the same results with a fresh download and compile. I think I'll have to remove this feature until a fix can be found.
