Accepted in App Store: FINALLY

I finally got accepted in the App Store. 7 Attempts later. I am SOOOOOOO Happy. A MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has helped me, answered my trivial and insane questions. You have all been brilliant and I know I wouldn't have gotten there without you all. THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/conyers-school-app/id487739346?ls=1&mt=8

Thanks all. Basically redesigned the whole thing. I deleted it and started again adding buttons and tabs. Also made the whole thing look more professional. Added a few extra features to it. Quizzes, PDFs etc. I am so pleased they accepted it. Months of stress went in to it.

Is it possible to add Quizzes, PDFs, Maps Etc and get the App accepted by Apple and after it is accepted, log in to Buzz touch and change the app to what you actually wanted. Can we create a fake App so that Apple will approve it and once it is approved change it. Can Apple reject the app after if it is approved and then changed?

I wouldn't recommend it. Although Apple are a bit annoying when it comes to approvals, I can understand why they do it; for a good user experience. The only issue I have with Apple is that the feedback when rejecting is too vague.

@daku7: This is a very very bad idea. Of course it's possible but it's also the fastest way to get your account removed. Seen it so many times. If you can't get approved and you can't get your head around why Apple does what they do, you'll have to just battle through it and find another approach. Super hard to work on something, get proud of it, then have them tell you 'not good enough.' Soooo frustrating! But, regardless of how tough they make it, it gets tougher (much tougher) when you try to get around their policies and rules. Stick with it, you'll get there. @ rarrrr123 very proud of you for getting through this and kickin' some iOS bottie in the end. 7 attempts - awesome!!! For sure you're well on your way. Another thing to consider. Doing updates, fixes, improvements to your app with each rejection surely added a level of understanding to the process that only the toughest devs have. Really, it's hard as heck when it's happening but going through it is super duper useful and will pay in spades as you move ahead into more complicated, gorgeous, and profitable apps. Congrats again.

I am inclined to agree really - the hard work ends up in an App you fully understand and know inside out. As much as I don't like to Admit it, Apple's high standards to force you to raise your game. As much as the headaches are stresses are awful, it is worth it. Just very very very difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Next up - make same App work on iPad and Android!

Is it better to submit a new binary or simply send a message to the resolution department to re-review the app after it has been changed?

nice work. inspiring thread. getting close to submitting my first one to Apple soon. thanks for tip on resubmit the binary didn't see it on the app store yet so i could download and try it out. i see it on itunes website but not app store on iphone yet. i see the Conyers - Our Loving Mother app. (and if that got approved and yours took 7 tries....lol) my understanding is that once you get it approved on itunes - yes you could update and completely re-design the app. apple can't stop you. but if someone reports it they can pull it and suspend your dev account. i read a blog where someone who ran into this issue and now says no apps they submit seem to get approved. they eventually set-up a new account. so perhaps apple does have a naughty list and you don't want to be on it... congrats!

I think apple will only reject your app for technical reasons.. you just have to dot the i's and cross the t's.. I don't thing they are interested in how it looks - thats your domain! I was rejected at the start for copyright when I foolishly thought apple would be happy for me to use their iTunes icon!! best of luck phil
