html keyboard zoom won't return to normal screen size

I created a simple calculator app in html/java (newbie) and it works great. There are two date entry boxes for the user. Its basically two columns with the left column being labels and the right column having the calculation boxes. The problem I am having is that when the user touches the input boxes to enter a number the keyboard comes up and the screen zooms in just a little bit. This seems perfectly normal while the keyboard is up. But after the user enters the data and clicks done the screen doesn't go back to the its original size and the first few letters of my labels in the left column are obscured. The calculations work fine. Can anyone sight-me-in the right direction to resolve it?

iOS or Android? If it's an HTML / Javascript calculator, you could always add a meta-tag to prevent the automatic zoom-in behavior. Have a look at this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4389932/how-do-you-disable-viewport-zooming-on-mobile-safari
