Save info to device html

I want to use an html page that allows users to input specific data. I want them to be able to access the data when they need it. I'm trying to work around connecting database info. I just want users to be able to input a 1-800 number and their member # so that when they call for service it is available when they open the app. All saved on the users phone in the app. is this possible?

Yes, it's possible. The question is how. With a submit button on the HTML the user can save the info. What I don't understand is where / what the form is submitting to. SQL ?

Don't over think this. I want no web app, no database if possible. I only want to create a Form where you type in your contract number and it saves it on your phone in the app. I don't want it to save or submit to anywhere other than in the app on the phone the app is installed on. It's not a form to submit data its more of a reminder page where you store a special phone number, your contract number and your VIN for your car. Its so you have a quick reference that's all. My website already has all of the info stored. I want the customer to be able to access the info on their phone even if they have no data connection.

NO URL. I just want to create a form: Contract #: (userinput) Service Phone: (userinput) VIN: (userinput) I just want to have the ability for the phone to either create a database if needed or to just save the info in the app. I don't need the data. It is for the customer to reference when needed for phone verification of membership. Again I don't need the data at all. Stop thinking like a programmer. Data is not for me. I already have it. I don't want to connect it to anything. I just want the user to be able to enter the info into their phone and have it without needing to access any data connection. I really don't know how else to explain it.

almost like contacts I don't need data connection to access my contact info because it is saved on my phone. Is that clearer?

basically a cookie inside the app that keeps the input data typed in by the client.

Yes, I understood that, which is why I was suggesting a url created from info in the form (or perhaps device info) that would return info from your website.

Hi @joes, There's no easy way to save any information to the local device...at least on iOS...that I'm aware of. Several people have asked this in the forum, and to date I've not seen any definitive solutions. To do so, on iOS, would involve hacking the code, and learning some Objective-C. Not sure if any of this applies to Android, and I have very limited experience there. Mark
