I have been enjoying this forum for the past couple of days reading and reading some more! I have downloaded everything necessary to get started on my app development project. I am excited about learning as I build my first application. Okay now for the question? I am wondering why every time I upload a profile picture it disappears after updating my forum settings??

Hi in Texas and welcome aboard. Good question? Your profile pic is showing in the forum so it must be updated. When you look at your forum settings it should show (the same cat) unless you change it again. Not sure what your're experiencing really. We'll get a look and see if something funky's going on on this end but all does appear normal. Good luck with your app projects and we look forward to seeing your progress.

1) OK, found some funky behavior in the image settings. It looks like the image is 'gone' when the 'update message' is displayed. When you click Save, the 'update successful' message shows but not the forum avatar. When you re-visit the page the avatar shows as normal. Great find! We found the cause and fixed it. You've already contributed - whoo hoo. 2) Double forum posts: This has been an ongoing gotcha for months now. Every now and then a post shows up twice. It's usually related to the submit button being clicked more than once and our backend not catching it and creating two posts. Most of these are automagically removed but for sure the forum could do better at preventing them in the first place. Funny. The forum is very very basic and more of a list of questions than a forum really. We've been working on some improvements to the forum for quite sometime and hope to get them implemented soon. David, another source of reposts is users hitting return button when posting from their phone. Done this many time out of habit.
