Eclipse and error message

I downloaded Classic Eclipse the Indigo verision, however in the help videos I noticed that he was using Eclipse Galileo. Which version should I use? I am using a PC whereas the video user was on a Mac. Also, I am getting an error mesasge in Eclipse classic that reads: AndroidManifest.xml not found I downloaded the Android source code. Have installed the Android SDK manager. When I unzip the source code it looks as though all the files are there and I can even see the file called AndroidManifest, however when I add a project into eclipse and i click from source it gives me the error message. Help! Thank you

When you installed Eclipse did you use the windows installer? Did you install anything besides Eclipse & the SDK? Such as Java 7?

I installed Eclipse 3.7.1 Windows 64-bit. I followed the SDK instructions and first installed the JDK - which installed Java SE Developemnt kit 7, Java 6 update 30, Java 7 update 2 (64bit), Java FX2.02 After that I installed the SDK and AVD Managers. I also installed the ADT plugin 16.0.1 for Eclipse. Did I not need to download all of this? One of the problems is that I cant download the Android 1.6 (API 4) in the SDK manager. I keep getting an access is denied error. Thank you

Hi @corydzbinski, So, this is very weird. I was looking at this post earlier, and you said something about being super frustrated, and that you don't have Google API 8/2.2. But now I don't see that info there, in your post! Did you get it resolved, or is there an issue with my browser? Mark

Hi @JDeWitt78, The dead link just covers a portion of the install that I include in my document anyway. You should be good to go! Mark
