Eclipse link in Android source code does not take me to Eclipse...? Confused

I thought I had downloaded Eclipse, because I went to this page from the text link for Eclipse written in the source code section for Android, http://www.buzztouch.com/account/app_download.php?appGuid=B328DC95A83CA438B6B04E02 Opening that took me to the site to get Java something. The sourcecode page says to launch Eclipse, which I am downloading, from here http://www.springsource.com/downloads/sts (Win 32) At least I think I am. A search in the forum shows that versions count. I am using Android 1.4 (as am a newbie), will this Eclipse version be compatible do you think? The video is helpful but assumes one has already downloaded Eclipse, if a specific version is needed depending on the version of app created, then I remain confused. If this version of Eclipse will suit, then I will be ready for the next step on the vid. ps. Dreading having to 'figure out' what the ReadMe.txt is actually saying, hoping the video covers it. I have no idea what I am downloading and why at each step. ~ conceptually confused Thanks for your input

I was configuring Android SDK manager, but keep getting messages like this from the Android SDK manager log: Downloading Sources for Android SDK, API 14, revision 1 Failed to create directory C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\temp Skipping 'ARM EABI v7a System Image, Android API 14, revision 2'; it depends on 'SDK Platform Android 4.0, API 14, revision 3' which was not installed. Skipping 'Google APIs by Google Inc., Android API 14, revision 2'; it depends on 'SDK Platform Android 4.0, API 14, revision 3' which was not installed. Done. Nothing was installed. What am I doing wrong/which step have I missed? I have been following the link http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Setting_Up_Your_Android_Development_Environment_v1.2.pdf but came across this problem, so have hit a wall now!! Thanks!
