Having Trouble opening the website and uploaded excel docs

Over the last few days I have been having trouble getting on the buzz touch website. Safari will sporadically tell me that it cannot find the server. Also I cannot seem to get the app creator to load up my excel spreadsheet. Any ideas?

Hi @tacarlson37, Well, like any other hugely popular site on the Internet, Buzztouch sometimes has periodic access issues. At the times you are having problems connecting to BT, can you access all other sites OK? Not sure what you mean by app creator to load up my Excel spreadsheet. Are you saying that an app which calls your Excel spreadsheet is having problems displaying it? Is the spreadsheet local (on your hard drive) or on the web somewhere? Also, is this Android or iOS? The more info you can provide, the better we can help! Mark http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Problem_Reporting_and_Basic_Debug_v1.0.pdf

When I am having trouble connecting BT I am able to connect to other websites. I tend to get disconnected when I am trying to upload a file for an app. Could this issue have anything to do with me using a mac? Normally after a few minutes I am able to connect to BT again. When I am in the application control panel I click on 'Manage this app's menus & screens'. In the drop down box I select MS Excel and click add. I then select a .xlsx file that is located on my HD and get an error message: Only .XLS/strong> (Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet) files are allowed. This message means you tried to upload a file that was not an acceptable format. What is an .xls/strong format? I believe .xlsx is the standard format for excel. This is for iOS. Thanks!

Hi, So, it seems like you are using BT Server, and not BT v1.5, is that correct? With respect to Excel, the .xlsx is the new, Office 2010 format, and the .xls is the older Office formats. You can save any Excel spreadsheet in either format, though you may loose some of the newer features with the older file format. But it appears you'll have to do that if you want to upload an Excel file! Mark
