Dumb question

Where is your project file stored after it has been created and submitted to the apple store? I understand that you buzztouch to create and you download and compile on your pc and submit but as far as hosting the file where is it hosted? I am in the process of learning all this to teach my high school students. I ask because some sites that I've seen charge a monthly fee to host your app. Does buzztouch host app? It's free now will there be future charge etc.

Your source code remains where you place it on your computer. You upload only the apk to the app store of your choice. http://wp.me/p1ZRa7-2M

As to the question of free, the BTserver 2.0 is free, eventually there'll be a fee, early adopters may be grandfathered. As to BTv1.4 & 1.5 good question. I imagine it'll be free, not sure what buzztouch is planning for BTv1.4 & 1.5

So other online create your own app keep the source code on their servers and that's why they charge you the monthly fee to keep it on their server for storage vs buzztouch where you keep the source code.

Hi Brian, Yes, there are some sites out there that keep the code on the servers. Buzztouch does that as well, but you can generate a copy of that anytime you need to compile your app. In fact, you have to do that, because Buzztouch only provides the code..it's up to you to compile your apps using Xcode or Eclipse. Once you've done that, you have an app package (ipa for iOS, apk for Android) that is on your local machine, and it's what you use to submit to iTunes or Android marketplace. Take a look at this document...it'll let you know what you need to get started : http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Things_You_Need_Before_You_Start_Developing_Apps_v1.0.pdf After you read that, let us know what other questions you have, and we'll help out! The only dumb question is the one you don't ask! Mark
