Eclipse - Updated now all my projects are non functional...

Updated eclipse. Now all my existing projects say, The project description file (.project) for '<project name>' is missing. This file contains important information about the project. The project will not function properly until this file is restored. Any ideas where to start looking. A global search for .project came up with a single .jar file, not sure if that has something to do with it or not. Thanks in advance. Tim Wolf

Does Eclipse know where your source code is?

Sounds like some references went a bit haywire. You can safely delete your project from Package Explorer (will not delete the files themselves, just their reference in Eclipse), and then add the project back again the way you did before. See this if you forget how : http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Compiling_Your_Android_Application_v1.0.pdf Thanks, Mark

Yeah, could do that but I have custom code that I'd rather not have to recreate in a couple of the projects.

Well, if you've saved your project, the code should be saved with it, correct? Easiest way to verify would be to check your project files directly. Mark

Mark, obviously amateurish question but... your last post infers that as code is changed in Eclipse, the source files are changed? If that's true the code I changed in the Eclipse project should be correct and also changed in the project files that originated as the Buzztouch package download, right?

Hmm, I'll be damned. They are changed. I'm amazed each and every day at how little I know about virtually anything! Thanks Mark

Good to hear that all is well! I, too, learn something new each and every day! That's why I love being in this business! Mark
