PNG menu button not showing up iOS

Working on a 1.5 iOS app and I'm running into problems with my menu buttons. If I upload a JPG, everything goes fine. If I upload a PNG with transparency to my BT_Images in XCode and point my menu button to that, I get either a blank grey icon or a clear icon with my background (if I set a background for the buttons). I can't figure this out. I'd really like to have round buttons on my screen, made by saving a PNG with transparency so that the icons appear to be round buttons set over my background, but I can't seem to get the PNG to show up. Is this a problem with the transparency, with the PNG, or just some setting I've goofed up? Thanks!

Hi, Did you add your image to your project? http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Adding_Files_To_A_Project_v1.0.pdf That's usually the issue in these cases. Thanks! Mark

Mark - Yep, I dragged into the BT_images folder in XCode, stopped the simulator, recompiled, and still nothin'. Just a blank button or a background. I can load a JPG just fine.

Hmm...I'll have to defer this, then, to those who have worked with menu buttons more than me. I'm betting it has to do with the transparency. Mark

That's my thought, too. There's SOMETHING funny with the transparency. Oh well. I can come up with a graphical workaround. I was just hoping to be able to make more use of transparency for interesting design in the future!
