possible bug found in Custom HTML plugin

I saved some text, and in the app, when refreshing, shows simply a blank screen. New information will NOT get downloaded (although the title of the screen ect will update, the actual custom html/text will not). Would love to see if someone could test this out. I am running the newest versions of the plugin and the server. David.

So what I was doing was just copying the text from the html screen on this site into the servers html screen, it was NOT saving my pasted data (it actually counted it as non existant, both in the source button and the non source), but it would save anything I actually TYPED in. Note: anything actually PASTED into the screen, will seem like it saves, but will not. and in fact, will disappear from your screen after a page refresh in the server. Thats the bug's conclusion. :) David.

On the custom HTML page in the buzztouch server it says IMPORTANT: Use the Source button in the editor toolbar to cut-n-paste raw html. Is that not available in the plug-in?

I assumed that means that your data wont look the same, as in, the paste wont save your formatting, bolding ect, which is fine. But both the raw html and the raw text (including in the source button) wont save if it is PASTED data. David.

And, keep in mind, the 'save' button under the TEXTAREA behaves different than all the other save buttons in each advanced setting. Not sure if this is realized or not. Cutting and pasting HTML / Text / ANYTHING is never reliable, it just isn't. Word Processors and other editors on your PC are famous for injecting invisible formatting characters that are not web-safe. There really isn't an easy way to explain this. Bottom line, pasting in a browser based text-editor almost never works as expected if you're pasting anything more than plain text.

(thats the thing, I was just pasting in plain text!) would you mind doing it yourself as a test, I am fairly certain its bugged (ANY raw pasted material (including plain text AND in the source button) will not get saved as it says)) hmm looked and acted like the other save buttons so had no idea :( Thanks for the responses. David

Tested on two installs - works well. could it be that the /files folder is not writeable? The data you paste is saved as an HTML Page in the applications /files/appId/documents directory. When you click save, that file should show up in that directory. The PATH to this HTML file should be loadable in your browser. If this isn't happening, it's not a bug, it's your server install.

My files MUST be writable as all my other apps and features work from this folder. I'm going to call this one a fluke on my end, maybe it had something to do with the server loggin me off so much, or just bad luck, either way, I have everything working the way I want now :) Thanks for testing it and for the responses! David.

Is there a way to disable the wysiwyg editor? It or something, edits the code once you save it making many things inoperable. Example. It changed this: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC -//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd> <html> <head> <link rel=stylesheet type=text/css href=http://www.XXXXXX.com/counter/counter.css /> <link rel=stylesheet type=text/css href=http://www.XXXXXX.com/counter/style.css /> <script type=text/javascript src=http://www.XXXXXX.com/counter/counter.js></script> <meta http-equiv=Content-Type content=text/html; charset=UTF-8> <meta name=viewport content=width=320; initial-scale=1.0; user-scalable=1;/> <title>Count Down to the Pig Roast</title> </head> <body> <div id=item_3> <div style=width: 100%; height: 100%; margin: 0px auto;> <div style=position: relative; top: 20%; width: 360px; margin: 0px auto; font-size: 12px; font-variant: small-caps; color: #e5e5e5;> <h2>Time left to the next Pig Roast</h2> <div style=display: inline-block; float: left; text-align: right; width: 120px;> <div id=my_counter_1 style=background-color: white; float: left; border: 5px solid #dddddd; border-radius: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; -moz-box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #000000; -webkit-box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #000000; -khtml-box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #000000; box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #000000;> </div> <div>Years</div> </div> <div style=display: inline-block; float: left; text-align: right; width: 168px;> <div id=my_counter_2 style=background-color: white; float: left; border: 5px solid #dddddd; border-radius: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; -moz-box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #000000; -webkit-box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #000000; -khtml-box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #000000; box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #000000;> </div> TO THIS: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC -//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd> <html> <head> <link href=%5C%22http://www.XXXXXX.com/counter/counter.css%5C%22 rel=stylesheet type=text/css /> <link href=%5C%22http://www.XXXXXX.com/counter/style.css%5C%22 rel=stylesheet type=text/css /> <script type=text/javascript src=http://www.XXXXXX.com/counter/counter.js></script> <meta charset=UTF-8 content=text/html; http-equiv=Content-Type /> <meta content=width=320; initial-scale=1.0; name=viewport user-scalable=1;/ /> <title>Count Down to the Pig Roast</title> </head> <body> <div id=item_3> <div 0px= color:= div= font-size:= font-variant:= height:= margin:= style= top:= width:=> <h2> Time left to the next Pig Roast</h2> <div -khtml-box-shadow:= -webkit-box-shadow:= 10px= 5px= border-radius:= border:= box-shadow:= div= float:= id=my_counter_1 solid= style= text-align:= width:=>  </div> <div> Years</div> </div> <div -khtml-box-shadow:= -webkit-box-shadow:= 10px= 5px= border-radius:= border:= box-shadow:= div= float:= id=my_counter_2 solid= style= text-align:= width:=>  </div>

Apparently even in these posts here on this forum, the quotes are stripped from the code. Test: \
