iPhone app to Android App

I have created a few iPhone apps and have been successful in the creation and launch of them into iTunes (Buzztouch is the greatest)!!! I have been working on getting those same apps launch for Android for a few weeks now. I just figured out the whole setup of Eclipse and the SDK issues I have been having (Great user submitted documentation out there). Now that I see the app running in the Android simulator, it looks significantly different than in xcode. The image headers and backgrounds don't look the same. The Image Gallery doesn't seem to work at all. Some of my HTML pages with built in web widgets do not seem to work. The menu lists work differently. My question is, is this to be expected? Should I look to create a new app design for my Android apps? As an FYI, all of my Buzztouch apps are version 1.5. Might that have something to do with what I am seeing? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Some of the Andriod screens are not finished in BTv1.5. Details in README_v1.5.txt found in your source code files.

Hi ScottE, Fred is correct...there is a list of items that work, and that don't, for v1.5 Android in the Readme file. The guys at Buzztouch pretty much stopped working on it in order to roll out Buzztouch Server 2.0 (which will have all the function you're looking for on Android AND iPhone), so there are absolutely some to-do's left. Keep in mind that v1.5 is Early Adopter, which generally means it's not finished or bug free. In general, though, you can expect an Android app to look different than an iOS app, primarily because of the operating systems they run on, and the default graphics they provide. You may end up creating separate versions of your apps, with tweaks for each, to make it work. Kinda a pain, but understandable given the nature of the OSs they run on. You might want to check out BT Server and see if they've completed the plugins you need. It might solve your problems. http://www.buzztouch.com/BT-server/ Let us know if you have any other questions! Thanks, Mark
