Information Menu

Hey everyone. I am trying to create information boxes for different establishments in my app. I am trying to make something with information that is shown at the bottom of the page. I was wondering if I had to make and image and make it a image header and move it to the bottom or is there something easier I am missing. If anyone is confused about an information box heres a link to a picture of one from yelp: http://s1123.photobucket.com/albums/l550/mconn17/?action=view¤t=photo.png . Thanks.

Hi mconn17, is this information screen just basically text? No user input? You can't just use custom text or HTML to display information about each establishment?

Its just text. Basically the problem is i want people to see the information as soon as the menu for the restaraunt opened. I want to have a call us menu row , location menu row, website menu row and then underneath these rows a box with the basic information for the restaraunt.

Maybe you could do it as a background image?

I would do it with HTML using a template on my website. I would... a) Create a list of restaurants or establishments, whatever they are. Store these in a .CSV file or database. b) Use a Custom URL screen for each place. Append the ID for the establishment to the end of the URL. Each place would use the same URL but a different ID c) My backend HTML page, like http://www.mysite.com/details.php would pull the ID from the URL, get the establishments info from the database or CSV file then enter it in the 'template' This means each Custom URL would be... http://www.mysite.com/details.php?id=1 http://www.mysite.com/details.php?id=2 http://www.mysite.com/details.php?id=3 http://www.mysite.com/details.php?id=4 Do this in baby steps...get the HTML page working with a fake place. Next, see if you can get the real data injected into the HTML in the correct place. Get your head around this concept and you'll be making dynamic screens in no time ;-)

Hmm...if you don't have a website, this won't work. We'll, at least not like the plan I had in mind. Maybe do this: a) Figure out how to make an HTML file that looks like you want, one for each establishment. Google 'mobile html' or 'iphone html page' or something. Tinker with it long enough to get it to look like you want. b) Take all these and plop them on a free DropBox account. c) Use the URL to each file in the Custom URL screen. Just an idea?
