Hi, Here's a document I wrote on Signing Android Apps...it shows you one way to create the various keystores : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4993711/Signing_Android_Apps_v1.0.pdf When you install the Android SDK, it should install the debug.keystore by default in the locations I indicated. Is it not there? If it's not, then you can create it using the method in the document I referenced above...I think that's the easiest way. Regarding the missing Android in Eclipse preferences, I realize now I left out a step! You need to install the Android Eclipse Plugin. Follow these steps (I'll add them to the next rev of the document): 1. Start Eclipse, then select Help > Software Updates > Find and Install…. 2. In the dialog that appears, select Search for new features to install and press Next. 3. Press New Remote Site. 4. In the resulting dialog box, enter a name for the remote site (e.g. Android Plugin) and enter this as its URL: https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/. 5. Press OK. 6. You should now see the new site added to the search list (and checked). 7. Press Finish. 8. In the subsequent Search Results dialog box, select the checkbox for Android Plugin > Eclipse Integration > Android Development Tools and press Next. 9. Read the license agreement and then select Accept terms of the license agreement, if appropriate. 10. Press Next. 11. Press Finish. 12. The ADT plugin is not signed; you can accept the installation anyway by pressing Install All. 13. Restart Eclipse. After that, you should see Android in the preferences section. Let me know if that works, and thanks for bringing this to my attention! Mark

Sorry to be a pain but after following the steps i get an error message... Android Development Tools (16.0.1.v201112150204-238534) requires plug-in org.eclipse.wst.sse.core. Am i running the right version of Eclipse? I tried to follow your steps as above but after clicking 'Help' i couldnt see anything for 'Software Updates'. So i clicked on 'Help Contents' and was given a link to 'Find and Install' after searching the help contents.

What version of Eclipse are you using? If you use the one I described in the document, the steps should work. Mark

Sorry about that! 1. Help...Install New Software 2. Enter 'https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/' into the Work With field, and hit Add. Give it a name. 3. You should see Developer Tools in the box below this one. Just select the whole thing. 4. Hit Next 5. Hit Next 6. Accept the Terms. 7. Hit Finish. 8. Grab a cup of coffee! I'll be amending my install doc tonight to reflect this. Give the steps above a try, and if they don't work, I'll have the step-by-step out later tonight. Mark

Ha! Isn't amazing how this stuff keeps us totally absorbed! Glad it's working. Before you go to bed...I'd suggest signing up for the v1.5 Early Adopter Program : http://www.buzztouch.com/account/account_earlyAdopter.php It's much more feature rich than the v1.4 you are currently working on. There are some limitations if you are doing Android, as they have not completed the port over to v1.5 yet, but iOS is complete. If you sign up, at least you have the choice! Take care! Sleep well!
