nag screens

Hi, Just wondering if it's possible to create a nag screen in a buzztouch app, basically some kind of pop-up screen at the beginning, end or anywhere in the middle that pushes the user to do something (like post a review or upgrade, etc.). Great for monetizing an app. Any ideas? Thanks, Nicole

Hi Nicole, You can create pretty much anything depending on your coding skills. Or maybe taking your 99% completed app to a developer to create that last portion for you is a good option? If neither of those tickle your fancy, maybe the splash screen would suffice? It gives you an image to display when your app launches. It has a setting to remain visible until a user taps it. You'll have to judge if your end users will mind this sort of thing.

Thanks, Parker Hiring a developer to create the nag screen function might be a good option, especially if I could see where to put it for future buzztouch apps. I looked at the splash screen, but that doesn't look clickable... is it? Nicole

In its current configuration it does have an option to remain visible (it won't transition to the home screen) until someone taps it. So in that sense it is clickable, but I think you want it to do something a little more. Which is totally doable if you know how to code. The Apple/iOS Developer Center has some introduction to Objective-C guides, maybe you could try adding a transparent UIbutton to the slash screen that matches up with your background image?

Thanks, Parker I'll have to check that out, although I don't know how to code yet. More aspiring than developer, maybe someday. I just want an html screen to appear before the home screen, so I think finding a programmer to do that might be the easiest solution. I'll share when I do! Nicole
