Android book

can anyone tell me the procedure to take a PDF book and turn it into an android app. The following is a page with a buzztouch app ebook. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/5-model-iphone-apps-create-coding-skills-required/ I am using buzztouch server self hosted. Which screen do I select? A brief description of the steps to create would be great. Thanks Joe

Hi, This really depends whether you want any other pages. Best option is to upload the PDF into the App before you build it unless it is something you want to automatically update when changed in which case you can use a web link accessiable from internet. Jonathan Hamon

this is a 100 page PDF. are you saying that I should upload the pdf to my console and then choose the PDF screen download and compile it? I would actually like to have different page views for the reader. Does the pdf act as one long scrolling document?

Hi, Normally it would just be a single document What is the file size. That is one reason I said to upload it so it opens quickly whereas if it has to be downloaded it might take some time. If you want different page views it might be better to split it up into sections. Jonathan Hamon

Yes correct. Due to the size, as already mentioned, I would advise including it in the application before building. This will mean that once app is installed it won't require an internet connection to read it.

Hi, The best idea is to make an mobile optimized version of the page or web site and then create an app from that in my opinion. If the content of the web site changes then users get the latest version. If you are interested contact me and I'll give you a qrcode for app I've created Jonathan Hamon
