Application ROOT URL BT server 2.0

can't for the life of me get the application root correct when installing.l I can see the red box, but not the green tick. i am using http://www.mydomain.com/BT-server as this is where it is installed. i progressed on from there to see what would happen. It all went through fine except no graphics, so clearly it can't find the images file. any thoughts?

Hi, Make sure you set the install folder to 755 permissions. If you follow this doc, you should have no problems! http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/bt-server-installation.pdf Thanks, Mark

So, you're doing an update instead of a fresh install? You could just delete the old install and start over, unless you have apps already created? Mark

no it's a fresh install. on my previous host (at work) it was a windows based server. i just got a new host, so it's a fresh install. I don't have any apps that i can't start again quickly anyway.

This may be related to your apps subdomain of freshhopeapps.com.au....I seem to recall a discussion about that not working too well earlier in the forum. I think, but I'm not sure, that you can't install it in a subdomain. Any way you can try without the subdomain? Mark

I'll have to defer this one to the Buzztouch team then!

my host requires me to upload files into the 'public_html' folder however that is not required as part of the domain structure. i.e www.mydomain/btserver not www.mydomain/public_html/bt-server. could it be something to do with that? i'm totally guessing here, i can't see what could possibly be going wrong. i can get to login,(without images) but when i login it won't go any further. i get a server not found error. http://www.mydomain.com/BT-server/account doesn't seem to be valid.

@Kiwidave, you should be able to copy and paste the url from your browser for that step. it took me three days until i noticed that BT_server was changed to BT-server. Copying and pasting the url from my browser fixed the problem. Hope this helps you out.
