Added Maps, Cant Upgrade Android

Hi, I have added maps and got it working. Tried to upgrade the app on android market place and it says that it must be signed with the same certificates. I only use one key file and I have no others so there is no way I could be signing with another key. Checked the app and package name and it seems to be fine. All seems to have happened since adding maps? Anything I can do here?

Hi, Did you request your Google Maps API keys using the same release.keystore you did in packaging up your application? Mark

I did yes. The only thing I can think of, now you've said that is that I also generated a maps key for the debug keystore too, to put the debug key in strings.xml. Would this do something to it? I don't really want to have to publish from scratch as my existing users will be stuffed. Thanks

Hi, To be honest, I really don't know! I guess you could try and remove the debug maps keys from the app and see if that changes things. If you are using the same release key to sign your app, and it's the same release key that you got the Maps API key with, then it seems to me like it should work! Mark

Wouldn't play so I had to re-publish. Of course that wouldn't work either as the package ID already existed so had to rename package in eclipse. Fingers crossed all working now.
