Not sure if this will help, Parkers at Buzztouch posted this link previously, worked like magic. Hi Fred, See if this clears things up for you: http:// stackoverflow.com/ questions/ 7637144/android-requires-compiler-compliance-level-5-0-or-6-0-found-1-7-instead-plea

If you're excel sheet contains macros or formulas you won't have any luck. And, if you're looking to make something more than the most basic app, jump on the early adopter list so you can use buzztouch v1.5 (you're on v1.4) it's far more flexible.

So David, so even buzztouch 1.5 can't handle excel formulas? I spent hours because I thought excel file with formulas would work simply by dumping it (via buzztouch 1.4) so it would pop-up to the app user & opened in excel. 2. Another way that I just tried is convert excel into html & the formulas worked fine in Firefox on my laptop but in buzztouch, I pasted the html code but the formulas didn't work in there or the simulator in eclipse. Is there any other method that you would suggest, an offline way? (I realize that I can just upload the file & post a link in the app but I want to keep it as the last resort). Thank You, nimo333
