pdf showing in simulator but not live app

Good morning BT, So I placed pdf in bt_docs folder and pdf shows perfectly in the simulator but doesn't show in the live app. The app is called PSJA Memorial. Don't understand why it shows in simulator but not live app. I get the following error Data for this screen has not been downloaded. Please check your internet connection though connection is strong and I can view everything else. Gracias!

Hola! Is this iOS or Android? Is the PDF a local file, or a remotely hosted file, where you provided a URL to the file in the control panel? Gracias! Mark

If you've added a local file to your project, you need to build the app with the local files included and submit it to iTunes as an update. The only way that a live app can include new files like that is if you call them from an online location, like a web site or something. Otherwise, you've got to provide them with an update. Here's a document I wrote on adding files to an Xcode project : http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/Adding_Files_To_A_Project_v1.0.pdf Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks! Mark

Yup, if it's embedded in the app (uses a file name and not a URL) it will need to be added to the project then re-compiled.

Thanks for the help guys! Also, what does it mean David when you say recompile? Or better, how do you recompile?

Re-compile is what happens when you click the Green Arrow that says Run in IOS or Android. Translates the higher level code into lower level machine language so that it can be run on the simulator or installed to your device.
