Eclipse and testing the app (Having issues...)

I am completely lost. I am creating a basic text app, a pocket reference guide pretty much and I can't seem to get it to work on my PC. I downloaded the source code, followed the README file as much as I could but I am not 100% sure if I am doing this right. Is there someone who can put it into layman's terms... I am very lost. Here is some info: I am going back and forth between a Windows 7 laptop and a Windows Vista PC. I have Eclipse IDE on my laptop, Eclipse classic on my tower (neither is working well for me) I am developing for an android. All text, pictures maybe if I can figure this out. May or may not have an internet connection for the app. Really don't know if there is a point and if someone can help me out with that too that would be awesome.

BTv1.4. I will be putting this on my Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S) phone. And I think I did create it. I went through the whole File>New>Android Project and created it with the already existing source. I have no idea what I am doing wrong... Also, is there a way I can just test it out actually on my phone instead of a simulator?

If your package is showing up in Eclipse try the following. https://myskylla.wordpress.com/2011/12/09/how-to-export-your-apk/ Leave a comment either way.

There is an error saying Compilation Error. Is there like a 'Eclipse for Dummies book or something? I feel like it's something incredibly simple and I'm just not figuring it out. I thought creating the project compiles it. Am I missing a step here?

If you're getting the compilation error it's because you missed a step which is well detailed in the pdf listed above. You'll want to correct the problem, but mean time you may wish to do the following. https://myskylla.wordpress.com/2011/11/17/buzztouch-for-beginners/
