Is there a basic overview of the MAP function in the Buzztouch forum?

I need to learn what the buzztouch map can actually do in its native state. Is there a basic overview of the MAP function in the Buzztouch forum? I don't plan on altering the map funtion at all...I rather just learn what its capabilities are and adapt it within my app. Problem is I cant find a clear explanation of what the buzz map does for my app? Thank in advance for the response. Cheers JP

Hi JP, Which map are you referring to? The location map screen available to use in an app? The buzztouch 'buzz map' linked at the top of this page? Or the usage map in the control panel of one of your apps?

Good question...I am referring to the location map screen to use inside an app. Does this map populate according to who purchased my app and is using the app? I guess I am not very clear what it can do for me. Do you have some pointers or an overview of the map functions? Thanks JP

Sure thing. That map screen (location map) in your app is used to show a map (obviously) with locations set by someone. Generally the locations are set by you while creating the map, but like most screens, the location map screen can pull its data from a URL. So theoretically anyone who controls the data at that URL or at a database that URL accesses, can control what pins (locations) are present on the map. What you want to highlight with those locations is up to you and depends on the app you're building. Trailheads of awesome hikes? Your business? Geo-cached treasures? Local sights or monuments? Basically anything you want someone else to know the location of.
