BT Server. Button Menu Plugin Availble. 2.1.5 Available.

Be sure to run 2.1.5 (update your self-hosted panel) before using the Button Menu plugin. It should work without doing the update but there were some major typos in a few of the files that it depends on.

Does updating mean I have to reinstall BT Server on my self hosted account?

@ CBreeze - Yes you'll have to update any of the modified files in 2.1.5. It's probably just as easy to reinstall the whole thing. Be sure to backup anything important. :)

Is it the case that everytime an up and coming pluggin is developed that the software for BT Server has to be reinstalled? or just everytime the software is updated to a new version? Thanks

@CBreeze If plugins are just released only then it is updated through the Manage Plugins in the BT Control Panel. Plugins are in the /files directory and it is not overlayed when you do another install like going to version 2.1.5 same with the DB.....

@ gbakakos : Update list, kind of. LOL. Use the Change Log link in on the BT Server landing page to see some basic notes about what changes each time.

Ok guys, mixed messages here. So do we reinstall BT-Server, update files individually (using FTP I suppose), update through the self-hosted panel? Which one?

Disregard. This is what you do.... This software needs to be updated Your server is running v2.1.4 and the most current version available is v2.1.5 Download the most current version from buzztouch.com then upload it to your website. You will be overwriting all directories and files EXCEPT the /files directory. After uploading the new version you will need to go through the installation process again. The installation URL will be http://www.yourdomain.com/BT-server/install/. The installation process will not overwrite existing values in your database or existing files in the files directory.

I've updated to 2.1.5 and added menu button plugin. Buttons don't show, blank page... What's wrong?

@ iPing, Did you just add the plugin? You'll have to actually create buttons within that plugin through your control panel. It helps to set a background color at first as I believe the buttons may be clear in their default setting. Then because the .java and .h + .m files probably aren't present in your app if you are already running it in the simulator or on a device, you'll need to add the code to xcode or eclipse as outlined in the instructions in your project download folder. Recompile your project, and then your menu buttons should be visible.

You where right Parker, plugin wasn't inside project... Just download source code again and copied button plugin inside project. Thanks so much!
