root view controller XCode 4.2.1

I get this message after compiling my iPhone App in XCode 4.2.1: Applications are expected to have a root view controller at the end of application launch The application builds successfully, but only a white screen shows up in the emulator. Do you have any suggestions?

Try doing a Clean before you Build, and see if that helps. Otherwise, trying downloading the source again, doing a Clean, then Build. Perhaps something got corrupted. Mark

Well done! I did re-download the source. Instead of the APP I am getting First View - Loaded by the First View Controller specified in the App Delegate.

So, are you good? Or is this an issue still? Mark

In XCode 4.1 you can build from several templates including: blank, master detail, page view and single view. All with differing results. Which one is best for buzztouch?

To be honest, I've never had to choose! I just double-click on the project file (or load the project file from the menu) that comes with Buzztouch projects, and the correct template apparently gets loaded. It's never been an issue for me. Mark

I was making it too hard, By just clicking on the project file it did load the right one for me. Thanks!

Would it be possible for the Compiling with Xcode video in Youtube to be updated to the Xcode 4.2 version? Or can I simply use the version in the video instead of trying to use 4.2? Thanks
