Adding buttons on text screens? Android

Hi there, First of all i'd like to thank the buzztouch team for creating this superb platform. I'm a total newby on programming. I couldn't find the answer on this question in the forum. I'm working on an app for my company. One of the menus gives an overview of all the employers. When I click on one, his (or her) profile screen (preferably with photo) should turn up. So that would be a word, pdf, excel or custom html screen (wouldn't it?). So far so good. But I want to add two buttons underneath the profile text. One button to e-mail that person, and one to call him (I don't want to use the navigation bar, because than the buttons would be on top). Can I add buttons on screens when I'm working with Eclipse (and later in x-code)? Because I don't see that option now (I'm now only adding screens and menu's in the browser; I havn't downloaded the source code yet). And another question: what kind of document (word, excel, pdf or custom html) is the best choice for these kind of profile pages? I have to say that these profiles are already on our webpage. My own thought was that I copy-paste the html-code of our webpage and put that in a custom-html!? Is that correct? I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance! Jos

Hi Jos, A lot of folks will use a menu list for this sort of thing with a tappable header image of the individual that shows a bio. With the call and email menu list items directly below. If you don't want to go that route, I would recommend creating Custom HTML pages. See: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_address.asp and: http://www.raizlabs.com/blog/202/iphone-telephone-hyperlinks

Hi Parker, Thanks for the quick response! I think I get it. But it makes me wonder again :-) Is it also possible to put the complete bio on the first row of the list (the image in the header) and the call and e-mail action on the second and third row? To make that option work for me it has to be possible to give the second and third row less height then the first (otherwise there'll be a lot of white). Thanks a lot!
