app icon upload to app store problem

I'm almost ready to upload to itunes... i think. But I seem to have run into a problem. I've already installed the distribution certificates and that all seems to be in place. I did Product menu> Archive to build the release version. The Organizer shows that I have my app in Archives with options to Validate/Share/Submit. The identifier and name is correct, but there isn't a version number and my app icon doesn't show up. How can I fix this? Actually, I was wondering about the app icon. I thought we had to give a 72X72pixel .png file to apple, but in buzztouch we must add a .jpg image. I'm a little confused about that. For reference, I found this to be very helpful in figuring out how to prepare the file in xcode to upload to itunes. http://www.weston-fl.com/blog/?p=2442 I found the help links in itunes referred to the older version of xcode so the screenshots listed there didn't look the same. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Nicole

Do you have the 512x512 icon in iTunesConnect? You have prepared the app for upload in iTunesConnect? Buzztouch, I think, will default to version 1.0 when you load it in xcode.

Hi, thanks for the help! Yes, I uploaded the 512X512 icon to iTunesConnect and the app is all prepared in iTunes Connect. I downloaded the source code from buzztouch and tested it on my phone, so all the files are in xcode right now, including all the sizes for the icon. The only thing is the icon doesn't show in my archive and neither does the version number. Should it show up? I'm not sure what to do now. I'm so close to finishing....! :-)

Hold on. I'll archive one and see if I can help. Stick with me for two.

OK. Just archived a project. It does indeed show version number and the main app icon (the 512x512) hmm. You downloaded a fresh copy of the config file before you compiled, yeah?

When you click on the project file in xcode does that show a version number? It'll say: Identifier Version Build Devices Deployment Target

Oh. No, I didn't download it again from buzztouch. If I do that, then I have to add all the images and sounds again to xcode when I open it, right? And test it on my phone again to make sure I didn't miss anything?

Oh, no it doesn't show a version number. I guess I should fill that in.

No, wait. When managing the app in BT go to 'config data' and grab the latest text from there and paste it into your 'BT_config.txt' file. No need to go through the whole 'adding images again'.

I think maybe I set up my provisioning profiles incorrectly. I will redo the distribution provisioning profile and try again. In Organizer> Devices, my profiles show that they are for my iphone, not the app store. Also, I have three development provisioning profiles. I somehow created 3 probably because I didn't think it was working. They are all active, but only one of them has an asterisk next to it. I'm guessing that's why my icon doesn't appear. The provisioning profile I selected in xcode wasn't communicating with itunes connect. Under Code Signing in Build Settings do you put Iphone distribution for all (Debug and Release)? Thanks so much for your help!
