Custom Plugin

This might be a question for one of the Buzztouch guys. Can I import a simple app that I've built in xcode to my buzztouch xcode project and link to it using the custom plugin? I want to use Buzztouch's menu system with a project I've previously built outside of buzztouch. How would I go about doing that? Am I making sense?

It makes sense. There are a few tricks to this and depending on your understanding, it could be painfully tough, or super easy. All depends. The first think you'll want to decide is whatever or not you want to use the buzztouch project as the 'foundation' or the existing project you arlready made. You could justify both ways. Lets assume you want to bring your other project into buzztouch. I don't really know how you would bring the entire project in (maybe, just never done it) and think maybe you could just bring in all the class files and view controllers you created in the other project. To do this, simply 'add exisitng items' to the Xcode project. At this point, you'll need to figure out how to connect your exisitng code to the menu system you created in buzztouch. More things to think about. Say you tap a buzztouch menu item, captureing that tap ( in the didSelectRow method of a UITableView) is easy, and, it's easy to load a new screen 'from nib name' if you created screens using nib files. Again, not sure what you made but I say go for it!

Would I not be able to connect it using the custom plugin selection in the control panel or is that really not what it's made for?

@David, A couple of my friends have gotten together and created an AR projected powered by string (http://poweredbystring.com/) using Unity. What's great about this is that there is next to no coding, as your creating 3D objects in Unity and it gets transferred into an xcode project. What we want to do is import it into Buzztouch so that we can create a menu system and also use some other buzztouch features such as streaming video, etc. If there is a way to do this, can you help me out and also use small words like your talking to a child? lol Thanks in advance for any help you can give us. We really think we got an amazing app in the works that hasn't really been done, which is very hard to say nowadays. We think it's gold!

@mitchellapps; I'm happy to try to help figure this out, it's a matter of figuring out when, it's crazy around here. I'm not sure of the best way to do this, maybe send me a project to look at or something? As for the didSelectRow method. This is a built in method called by iOS when a row on a UITableView row is selected. It's an important method because it's where you, the developer, learn what row was tapped so you can perform an action. In buzztouch apps the rows are connected to screens so the row that is tapped will load a new screen. Understanding which row was tapped is needed so we can then learn what screen to load. Hard to know how to explain it different. Again, I can try to help but don't know the best way.

I would be happy to send you an example project. Perhaps email me? We would happily pay you for your assistance!
