Trouble submitting my app for distribution on xcode

I'm trying to submit my app for distribution but ran into a problem. When I go into build settings in xcode to assign the code signing to my iphone distribution provision portal it just says iphone distribution without my provisioning info next to it or it says something like no current match. I did everything as far as creating a distribution profile, setting up my keychain access, etc. One thing I did notice though is that when I open up the info for my private key under my iphone distribution certificate in keychain access, the access control does not inclue the program codesign. It is in my development certificate key but not in my distribution certificate key. Can anyone help me and let me know what I'm doing wrong? Would be greatly appreciated.

Check this link out and see if it helps. I've had tons of signing issues in the past, but going through these steps fixed them all! http://btugwiki.com/index.php/Code_Signing_Basics Mark

Thanks for this list @GoNorthWest. To be honest, when I saw it I thought: “you gotta be kidding!”… revoke…delete.. two pages of steps to follow…arghh!! But I had exactly that problem of developer and distributor id’s not matching. So I took a deep breath and followed the steps, and hey presto, project archives, validates, submits no problem. Thanks :-) I can start breathing again!
