I really like the forum here on buzztouch.com - would something like that ever be possible for BT Server?

Keep in mind that you can create anything you want on your site. We for sure will not be creating forums and help docs and other assets on the self-hosted softare. It's enough to make it work at all, let alone re-create buzztouch. We'll continue to focus on making the control panel super duper good, designers and developers can focus on making their sites do whatever they need to support their goals. Another thing to consider. The primary objective of giving away the BT control panel is to help folks self-host, not run a business that competes with ours. Wink. For sure there is merrit in these ideas but like everything else, it's a delicate balance.

doh! LOL point taken. well you are certainly doing a great job with this and I am so thankful for the chance to be a part :) certainly you guys have to prioritize so I understand. At any rate I will do my best to give back and am grateful that this thing is open source allowing us to help with development :)

I'm just razzin' ya. Important that you understand that. It's 100% OK for you to do this, we understand and, just think...if you do good enough you'll end up paying us one way or another. The API key will allow you to build / compile tons of apps but not enough to make a business out of it. We're happy to help you if you get 'too successful' and we need to increase your API limit. We work out these deals on a case-by-case basis. It always works good for both side. Go for it!
