BT-Server - icons via FTP

I must be missing a step somewhere. I made a new app, dropped a bunch of icons in the images folder of the new app, but they don't show in the control panel (self hosted). I can add images via the hosted control panel, which show up in the same directory that I dropped via FTP. Duh. Anyone?

The c-panel will not detect images or files you drop in an app's directory structure. They will when you upload them. This is because when the panel shows the list of available files, it's not reading the directory, it's reading the database and showing you a list of records in the db. When you upload a file a record is added to the database, these are what you see in the panel. Sounds like we need a 'sync' or 'refresh' feature that would allow this exact function. Hmmm..

This sync would eliminate the need to compile and export the apk, is that correct?

Not a crappy thing, just improvements. @Fred: No, this improvment has zero to do with compiling or apks. It's only related to how the control panel lists the files the operator has uploaded to an apps data directory. The idea is that now it's expected that the control panel is used. But, like @WolfTimJ mentions, using FTP makes sense. We just need a way to get the software to recognize that new files have been added to an apps directory if they were FTP's and not uploaded through the control panel. on the list.

Hi there Has there been any development to this point? I am trying to create a gallery and it would be much easier to upload the files via FTP than have to do it one by one. Cheers and thanks for all your work

I also really want this feature. I need a way to copy (FTP) a whole batch of button / icon images, and have the control panel scan the server and add the items into the database.
