config the no nickname screen?

When an RSS item link loads, the screen that's used appears to get its background specifications from the global theme. Is there any way around that in xcode or something? The problem is I used the global theme to setup the background of the 95% but some html pages from the internet don't have any background specified, which results in those link pages loading over the global theme background. In that situation, white would be better.

Hi rgtichy, If you look in 'Advanced Menu Properties > Story Navigation Bar, Color, Sound' for that RSS feed, you should see 'Story Background Color'. This should set the background of the stories and not the Feed list. Anytime a screen doesn't have any set advanced properties, that screen will default to using the Theme settings. Setting that screens properties will override the Theme settings.

Okay, I wasn't aware of that parameter, so I tried it. It didn't work. I set the story background color to #FFFFFF and it had no effect on what I am getting. My global theme uses a gradient background and I had previously noticed that I was not able to setup any screen to have a single color background. To accomplish what I want on some screens I have setup a gradient with the 'from' and 'to' colors set to the same values to get a single color screen. I thought it had something to do with me not understanding transparency in the same setup area, but maybe it has to do with the global them using a gradient background? or something... Is there something I can do/provide to help someone look at this issue? Rob

Sure, you'll have to give me permission to look at your app in a post and then I'll have a peek and try to figure out what is going on. Name the app using it's name in your control panel as well as any screen giving you issues. Would you mind if I changed a few basic settings?

Thanks, Parker! My app is named Barrington in the control panel, and the screen that is giving my trouble is TL_VBM, which is an RSS reader screen. It's my only app right now. my user id is robtichy at AOL.com Thanks, so much for taking the time to look at this; I was planning on building a separate small app just to prove out my assertion, but I haven't had the time the last couple of days.
