RSS link page won't load ?

Okay, I have an entire RSS feed of stuff where the links won't open, and I have checked for unprintable characters, etc. (I could have missed one, but at this point it's unlikely) This is the debug list from XCode when I try to tap the RSS row on the screen TL_VBM: 2011-12-06 23:41:37.872 connected[5548:13703] BT_screen_rssReader: didSelectRowAtIndexPath 2011-12-06 23:41:37.873 connected[5548:13703] BT_viewControllerManager: handleTapToLoadScreen 2011-12-06 23:41:37.873 connected[5548:13703] BT_viewControllerManager: the parent screen nickname: TL_VBM itemId: 989552366967A33EE6877E8 itemType: BT_screen_rssReader 2011-12-06 23:41:37.873 connected[5548:13703] BT_viewControllerManager: the menu/button tapped is itemId: rss_989552366967A33EE6877E8_4 2011-12-06 23:41:37.873 connected[5548:13703] BT_viewControllerManager: the screen to load is nickname: itemId: rss_989552366967A33EE6877E8_4 itemType: BT_screen_webView 2011-12-06 23:41:37.873 connected[5548:13703] BT_viewControllerManager: initViewControllerForScreen nickname: no nickname? itemId: rss_989552366967A33EE6877E8_4 type: BT_screen_webView 2011-12-06 23:41:37.874 connected[5548:13703] BT_screen_webView: INIT 2011-12-06 23:41:37.874 connected[5548:13703] BT_rotatingNavController: pushViewController for screen: rss_989552366967A33EE6877E8_4 2011-12-06 23:41:37.874 connected[5548:13703] BT_screen_webView: viewDidLoad 2011-12-06 23:41:37.874 connected[5548:13703] BT_viewUtilities: getWebNavBarForScreen with nickname: no nickname? and itemId: rss_989552366967A33EE6877E8_4 and type: BT_screen_webView 2011-12-06 23:41:37.877 connected[5548:13703] BT_screen_webView: viewWillAppear 2011-12-06 23:41:37.877 connected[5548:13703] BT_viewUtilities: configureBackgroundAndNavBar for screen with nickname: no nickname? and itemId: rss_989552366967A33EE6877E8_4 and type: BT_screen_webView 2011-12-06 23:41:37.878 connected[5548:13703] BT_fileManager: File does exist in Xcode bundle: blank.png 2011-12-06 23:41:37.878 connected[5548:13703] BT_background_view: Image for background view exists in Xcode bundle - not downloading. 2011-12-06 23:41:37.878 connected[5548:13703] BT_background_view: setImage 2011-12-06 23:41:37.878 connected[5548:13703] BT_screen_webView: initLoad 2011-12-06 23:41:47.332 connected[5548:13703] BT_screen_menuList: iAd didFailToReceiveAdWithError: The operation couldn’t be completed. Hi rgtichy, Make sure that the 'Link XML Element' property in 'Advanced Story Properties > XML Element Data-Points' matches the corresponding element name in your RSS feed.

Okay I have solved the issue. The RSS feed did not have a description tag in it, so I put the link tag in both the description and the link; only it appears that the link doesn't work when it is in both specs. I used Yahoo Pipes to add a description tag into each item and everything is good now. Why can't the link tag be used more than once?

I believe it is because RSS readers (or at lest our RSS reader) only expects to use an element once. So you could have two of the same element but only the first will be used. Also because XML can be extended to contain any number of elements, there isn't really a point.
